Disappointed with my Pastillas de Leche

If you're curious about Gonuts Kooky Koolers then I suggest you think twice before getting one. I tried the Pastillas de Leche drink earlier today and while it tasted yummy, the texture sucked. It was like eating donuts with big chunks of ice. Either the server didnt blend the ice well or it was really meant to be that way. I tried melting the ice but by the time it melted the taste had gone bland. There goes my relationship with Gonuts =(

Are you on my CHART?

Back during my days as a bum I bought a 3-season DVD of The L Word out of curiosity. For some reason I've always wondered how lesbians lived and loved. Anyway, Alice, one of the main characters in the series, started this "chart" as a personal project. The Chart is supposed to present how each and everyone in the community (well, in their lesbian community at least) was connected by love or lust.

Inspired by this, I wanted to "chart" my own loves and lusts within my own group of friends. This resulted in more than 2 hours of figuring out who liked whom, who was in love with whom and which ones were mutual (whose had SEX with whom is reserved for the next session. I'll need booze for this one). I wish I could publish it here but a lot of the info is taboo. If we're close enough I'll show it to you for a price =p.

Bottomline, I've learned that I'm closer to my friends in more ways than one. Go figure.

Top 24 AI Girls

Goodbye Aliana Alexander, Antonella Barba, Haley Scarnato and Amy Krebs!

Top 24 AI Boys

Ok its 2 a.m. and the American Idol rerun has just ended on Star World. I'm still thinking if staying up for it was worth it. Hmm... So who do I think will be going home on Thursday? My bets are either Paul Kim, Sundance Head, Rudy Cardenas or Sanjaya Malakar. I think were, um, let me just quote Stevie Wonder on this one - " I don't wana BORE you with it"

Is it just me or are there a lot of Asians in the competition this year? If there is such a thing as an asian vote on American Idol then we definitely wont see it happen on this round.

AJ's part Pinoy right? I was thinking after the Hollywood week there'd be news about AJ in the papers. I guess everyone's too busy about the elections to report about another Pinoy in AI haha

Lance and Kyle

Pau and I caught up with Lance and Kyle over dinner in Casa Armas last night. I realized this was the first time I've seen them together in four years! Its good to know things are looking up for them in the next couple of months =)

Ok I'm in Friendster. So what now?

After being bugged by Pau for several weeks to put up my own Friendster site, I finally agreed to let him set it up for me. Here's the link in case you want to be my...gulp...friendster.

Clinical definitions of a "healthy" relationship

Stages of Gay Relationship Development

Blending - Stage 1 - Year 1
This first stage entails the "unification" of the couple into a single unit. Each man is happy to no longer feel isolated and alone, spends most of his free time with his partner, and experiences strong feelings of romantic love and frequent sexual activity during this time. They balance responsibilities, household rules, and their mutual goals, as well as come to know each others' strengths and weaknesses.

Nesting - Stage 2 - Years 2 and 3
The second stage is marked by "homemaking," or strengthening the commitment the couple has. They find compatibility though acceptance of each other's personality differences and styles, strengths and weaknesses, and needs and goals. The loss of limerence (or the "end of the honeymoon") is common during this time as well, but is paired with a more realistic view of the relationship and the partner.

Maintaining - Stage 3 - Years 4 and 5
The third stage is when the couple balances their own individual identities against the couples' traditions and rituals. This can be a difficult time, as each may return to making friends outside the relationship, may begin new hobbies or interests, and may want to renegotiate previously set relationship rules.

Building - Stage 4 - Years 6 through 10
The fourth stage is marked by the settling of any left-over issues from Stage Three, and the couple is left with the sense that their connection is "dependable" and that they know each other very well. They have established a new balance of dependence/independence and can now collaborate on goals such as career building, vocational changes, and retirement planning.

Releasing - Stage 5 - Years 10 through 20
In the fifth stage, the couple comes to trust each other completely, with no need "to change him." The relationship is more likely marked by close friendship and companionship, and greater relationship satisfaction (Kurdek, 1989). Money and resources are no longer shared, so much as simply owned by both.

Renewing - Stage 6
Stage six might be considered the "retirement" stage of the relationship, when the couple has financial security, more time for each other, and more time for their own thoughts and activities. While health issues may become more salient, also salient during this time are issues associated with the meaning of life, and a sense of productivity or stagnation across one's life, similar to Erikson's "Integrity versus Despair" stage of psychosocial development.

I Just Cant Get Enough

Bummin Hangover

I spent my first weekend as an employed professional (again) sleeping. For some reason the past week had been soooo long. Maybe because I had not worked in more than a month and my body was still on vacation mode or maybe because I've been learning a lot of stuff throughout the week, not to mention chasing deadlines and working overtime everyday (and to think this was only my first week!). To tell you the truth I don't feel happy about it now. But hey, its only been a week plus this new career was something I told myself I could do. So there. Just wanted to let world now that my bum days are officially over.
